IGN Gives Kid Icarus Uprising a 8.5/10

Despite many Japanese gaming publications giving the game a perfect score, IGN sticks with a score of 8.5/10 for the highly anticipated game, Kid Icarus Uprising. IGN reports "superb action, stunning graphics and art design, incredible gameplay music, (truly some of Nintendo's best) humorous dialog, and solid gameplay. But they also state some "awkward and frustrating" things like "characters that talk to much, awkward controls, and action that often overwhelms the 3DS's small screen"

BRAVE The Video Game Coming to Wii and Nintendo DS This Summer

The Disney Interactive Media Group announced that they will be developing a game this summer based off of the forthcoming Disney fairy-tale movie BRAVE. It will launch for Wii, Nintendo DS, PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac, giving players quite a large variety of options on what system they want to play the game on. They never mentioned anything about a 3DS version, so this is quite disappointing, but besides this, its coming to most systems. The game will be released at around the time the movie is mid-June.

It is described as a game where players can "run, jump and battle" their way through rugged and detailed landscapes, of "mythical and mysterious" Scotland. Players will wield a sword and shield, as well as a bow to fight fierce enemies in a detailed third person display.

Pachter Talks Wii U Pricing and Online Services

Famous Wedbush Morgan Industry analyst Micheal Pachter gave his view on Wii U pricing and online play today.

Nintendo "have a serious problem" if the Wii U hits retail for any more than $299, and that Nintendo Network will be "absolutely essential" if it is to stand a chance of competing.

"My guess is $299, and I think if they do charge that then the Xbox 360 is instantly cut to $249. Possibly even cheaper, and the PS3 will also be priced cheaper. "If they charge $249 they have a shot, if they charge more than $299 they have serious problem"

"Will Nintendo improve their online service? Well, they're starting from scratch so any online service at all is an improvement. So that an obvious one for me, they have too" he begins.

"We have migrated from the days of single player gaming to the days of multiplayer gaming. It is absolutely essential if Nintendo wants to compete with the Wii U that they improve online service. I think Nintendo is focused on it, I just think this is a new hing for them."

"It has not been important to them in the past generation, it better be important to them in the next one I think in order to compete they have to do it, so they will do."
